Tim’s solo career started back on the release of the 2001 album “Daybreak” which featured Michael McGoldrick and Lucy Randall and was an album that with the exception of the 3 tracks with guests, Tim literally played every instrument: melodeon, button accordion, guitar, whistle, bodhran, banjo, piano, mandolin and bass.
This certainly announced his arrival on the scene in the UK and Ireland and quickly spread internationally with tours in Scandinavia, USA following two years later.
Tim won BBC Radio Two’s Best Musician of 2012 at The BBC FOLK AWARDS and also won Best duo for his duet of Edey/Power with Kiwi harmonica god Brendan Power. Tours of Canada, Australia, UK, Ireland and Spain have followed and appearances at Canada’s Summerfolk this year reinforces Tim’s rep as a strong and confident entertainer and solo performer and singer across the water.
