This record produced by renowned rock/roots man Robin Wynn Evans (Manic Street Preachers, Sam Brown, DODGY, The view) is Tim Edey's 5th release.
Possibly his finest work yet... it is a mixture of his exciting celtic inspired virtuoso guitar playing, but also takes on classical and world music sounds with Jon Sanders "Jenny's tune" sounding very Julian Bream and with many tracks having the luscious strings of Scotland's Patsy Reid.
Tracks like Steve Cooney's "My prayer" which also features Cooney in a tear jerking emotive journey with Edey, and then to south American rhythms with "Rumba Negra".
A must buy for any music fan.

Fields of gold
Tim Edey - featuring Natalie MacMaster, Patsy Reid & Dave MacFarlane
This is the first single from the brand new album being released in January 2021!
I am very excited to feature Canadian fiddle legend Natalie MacMaster, One of Scotland's most in demand musicians fiddler Patsy Reid & Perth based producer & musician Dave MacFarlane whom has mixed, produced the track for me & played a secret fiddle bass part too!
100% of every download from this will go to the charity very close to our hearts Sands UK Stillbirth and neonatal death charity whom provided myself & my partner Isobel with amazing support during the toughest time of our lives when we lost our wee baby boy Griogair in 2015 aged just 2 months.
So to remember him and remember all babies & their families at this tough time of christmas when memories are very fresh in the mind, this is my tribute to Griogair and all those wee babies whom did not make it.
I have a full MCPS/PRS license to use this track written by Sting (G. Sumner) & published by SONY ATV UK, as a download.

How do you know?
Tim Edey
The album kicks off with something of a return to Tim’s traditional music roots, three reels that showcase Tim’s box playing, duetting on the buttons with Ireland’s Dermot Byrne and with Session A9’s Gordon Gunn on fiddle. However, these three are soon joined by a female voice, no lyrics, but neither is this anything to do with Irish traditional mouth music, this is scat singing, straight out of the jazz repertoire. The track is entitled Box n Fiddle Party and there’s no escaping its infectious energy, immediately setting the feet tapping.
