This is the original info when the guitar was originally released by Yamaha; In 1966, Yamaha established a guitar research department with the goal of developing high-quality products. In 1967, the company hired Spanish master craftsman Eduardo Ferrer to teach the company traditional Spanish guitar-making techniques. The Yamaha GC-10, GC-7, GC-5, and GC-3 were released in August 1967, and the Grand Concert series continues to this day. The Yamaha GCX-31C is based on the GC-31. The GC-31 offered excellent value for money, and was offered in a variety of configurations, including this electric guitar and a short model. This electric guitar boasts a high-class sound, boasting excellent playability thanks to its cutaway body and a natural sound thanks to its piezo pickup and condenser microphone. This model, which was released in 2003, is now discontinued, with 2010 being its final model year. Its main features include rich bass, lustrous highs, and volume, making it a highly playable guitar. While it shows some minor marks from use, it is in excellent condition considering its age. There are no issues with the electrical system and no history of repairs, so this instrument is being offered in mint condition.
The top is made of solid Hokkaido pine with dense annual rings. There is no peeling on the bridge. The top is urethane-coated and has some minor scratches, dents, and scuffs, but they are all minor. The back and sides are made of solid Indian rosewood with internal crack prevention. The rosewood grain is beautiful and there is no cloudiness. There are some minor scuffs on the back, but they do not detract from the instrument's appearance. There are no major, noticeable scratches on the headstock veneer or around the headstock. The fingerboard has no noticeable dents or deterioration. As this is a used instrument, 90% of the frets remain. There is no choking. The neck is generally straight and not twisted. The string height is set low, making it easy to play. There is still some saddle protrusion, so you can lower the string height even further. The tuning pegs are Yamaha's original YTM-81, and they wind up smoothly. The pickup and control are the original SYSTEM-49, a 2-way pickup system with a B-BAND piezo pickup and a gooseneck condenser microphone, which produces a natural nylon string sound.
